Wheels’ mechanics were happy to be out on this nice day doing Free Bike Repairs at New Fountains Apts. in Fitchburg. Bike Fitchburg sponsored a terrific bike rodeo and a Fitchburg Alder gave away about 100 bikes.

Donate Your Unused Bikes to Wheels

During the spring cleanup of your garage or basement, consider donating your unused bikes to Wheels. We need all sizes of bikes from small child to adult. In 2024 we provided 452 bikes to earners who performed 10+ hours of community service. Each bike is fully refurbished, tested for safety and comes with a new helmet and lock.

Wonderful children’s bikes just donated by a generous family that will put SMILES on the faces of young children! We will refurbish each one and provide them to a bike earner who performs 10 or more hours of community service.

Two bike earners are thrilled with their new ride, helmet and lock. Thank you very much to all our bike donors for putting SMILES on kid’s faces!

2025 Free Bike Repair Events Have Started

We kicked off the 2025 Free Bike Repair Event Season on April 9 at Sandburg Elementary School. Amanda Dedo from Sandburg says, “Thank you all so much! You all are amazing and our community is so appreciative of you. Already planning on this again for next year!! You are the best!
